International work

Mark Gray has a long history of international work starting with the European Blind Union. (EBU) As RNIB’s representative on the  European Committee of the Multi Handicapped Blind. Serving from 1993 to 2005.

Organising  Conferences On Timely Intervention  (special Help for special Needs) Bad Berleburg Germany November 26th to December 2nd 1995 and a second Conference in Athens Greece on Transition to adult services in November 1998.

In addition Mark was a regular Contributor to the International Council for the Education of the Visually Impaired ICEVI and was a keynote speaker in two Conferences In Krakow Poland in 1999 and The Netherlands in 2003.

Mark was also involved in the planning and organisation of the first National Network of Learning Disability Nursing  (NNLDN) Conference in Dublin Ireland in 2008 In Dublin Ireland.

Most recently Mark has been working with the British council Overseas most recently in Azerbaijan running two days of specialist workshops for Health Care professionals working with children who have Autism in Baku December 2015.




Mark travelled out again in December 2017 to be a Keynote speaker on Employment of People with Disabilities. He has now been asked to work with The British Council Azerbaijan, the State University of Baku and the Government of Azerbaijan to look at the development of health and social care services for children & young people from 2018 for a five year project starting soon
